About The Position

Works across all levels and departments within the organization to promote a positive and productive workplace through the coaching and development of both management and employees in areas such as benefits, policies, procedures, HRIS reporting, and DEI.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of progressively more complex HR responsibilities.
  • Minimum degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices and principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and management.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to lead and/or be the subject matter expert for member/staff processes; exert regional influence or corporate knowledge sharing

Nice To Haves

  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, HRCI) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides advice and counsel to managers on employment relation matters
  • Oversees the performance management process to ensure employees are receiving effective coaching and feedback from their supervisors.
  • Works with managers to take disciplinary action, including verbal/written notices and terminations.
  • Administers the performance management system.
  • Investigates employee complaints, provides recommendations and ensures agreed upon actions are implemented to resolve the complaint.
  • Assists in creation and updating of job descriptions
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation
  • Lead the talent acquisition process including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants.
  • Ensure legal compliance with applicable HR-related laws and regulations such as, but not limited to FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, EEOC, FMLA, FLSA and other federal, state and local laws?
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Understand and interpret various employment laws such as, but not limited to FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, EEOC, FMLA, FLSA and other federal, state and local laws?
  • Provide regular HR reporting.
