GLAS is undergoing an exciting evolution of the GLAS People (HR) Function, creating an opportunity for an experienced HR Business Partner Manager to join the team. Based in the US, this role plays a key leadership role supporting and shaping the regional people strategy. This is a senior, strategic and hands-on leadership role responsible for partnering with executive and senior leadership teams within a regulated financial services environment. You will drive the delivery of a commercially aligned people strategy, lead organisational and cultural initiatives, and ensure best-in-class people practices that support business growth, performance and regulatory compliance. You will also act as a key connector between the US and the wider GLAS People Function, ensuring consistency while adapting to regional needs.

Requirements

  • 10–15 years’ experience within a people function, including significant time in a senior HR Business Partner or leadership role
  • Proven experience within financial services or a regulated environment
  • Strong track record of partnering with senior executives and influencing strategic outcomes
  • Experience managing multi-state employment practices and compliance
  • Familiarity with at-will employment principles
  • Experience with US benefits programs (healthcare, 401(k), etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience operating across multiple states
  • Deep knowledge of US employment law
  • Experience leading organisational change, transformation, and people strategy delivery
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred
  • Degree in HR, Business, or a related discipline (preferred)
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills at executive level
  • Deep expertise in employee relations, organisational design, and change management
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to coach and challenge constructively
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
  • Analytical and data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior trusted advisor to executive leadership
  • Shape and deliver the regional people strategy aligned with global business objectives
  • Influence and support strategic decision-making across workforce planning, organisational design, and transformation
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders to understand business priorities and translate these into people-focused solutions
  • Coach and develop leaders to enhance leadership capability, team effectiveness, and performance
  • Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations and organisational challenges
  • Lead organisational design and change management initiatives across the region
  • Drive cultural and engagement strategies aligned with GLAS values
  • Support business transformation and growth through effective people planning
  • Oversee talent management frameworks including succession planning, leadership development, and retention strategies
  • Lead performance management processes and ensure consistency and fairness across the region
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to shape hiring strategies and workforce capability
  • Oversee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance
  • Ensure compliance with US federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Support governance, audit, and regulatory requirements within a financial services environment
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality HR operations across the employee lifecycle
  • Partner with Global People (HR) Services to implement policies, systems, and processes effectively
  • Leverage people data and analytics to provide insights and inform business decisions
  • Lead and contribute to regional and global people initiatives and transformation programmes
  • Act as a mentor and escalation point within the GLAS People Function
  • Drive continuous improvement and efficiency across people processes
