About The Position

The HR Business Partner II (HRBP II) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management. This position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience in employee relations or HR business partner capacity required

Responsibilities

  • Act as a consultant to senior leaders on human resource-related issues
  • Proactively lead, influence, and communicate the business strategy
  • Partner with business leaders to proactively align people strategy with business strategy and anticipate HR implications
  • Act as an employee champion, a change agent and anticipate HR-related needs
  • Lead change management efforts with business units to ensure smooth transition and minimal HR-related impact
  • Independently handle complex employee relations matters to include investigations, terminations, counseling, coaching and documentation with minimal support or supervision
  • Support business leaders with the performance management process for their teams to include annual evaluations, goal setting, performance improvement plans and disciplinary steps
  • Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, labor laws, standards, and regulations
  • Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and helping resolve work-related problems
  • Advise business leaders on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning
  • Collect and analyze HR metrics including turnover data, exit interview data, and any relevant employee relations data
  • Use data to create and implement action plans to improve HR metrics in key areas
  • Serve as liaison between business leaders and HR Centers of Excellence on programs and initiatives including talent acquisition, talent development, total rewards, and employee engagement
  • In partnership with Talent Management, lead organizational design discussions to optimize team structures to improve efficiency
  • Address employees and advise managers on organizational policy matters such as; equal employment opportunity, work complaints, harassment allegations and other employee concerns
  • Provide expertise and insight on employment claims such as unemployment, EEOC and related investigations
  • Actively participate on a variety of HR or HRIS projects
  • Manage progressive disciplinary process and approvals
  • Recommend changes and monitor compliance laws for related practices and employee handbooks
  • Other duties assigned as needed
