About The Position

Lad Lake is seeking an organized, welcoming, and highly dependable HR Assistant / Dousman Campus Receptionist to join their Human Resources team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both people and details. The position serves as the welcoming face of the Dousman campus, greeting candidates, employees, families, visitors, vendors, and community partners. Additionally, the role supports the HR team by maintaining systems, records, and processes related to the employee experience. Responsibilities include assisting candidates, updating employee records, coordinating new-hire paperwork, scheduling training, answering employee questions, and preparing files for audits. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and enjoys helping people navigate processes and find the right resources.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Office Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 2+ years of administrative, HR, reception, office coordination, or related experience preferred.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and frequent interruptions.
  • Good judgment and the ability to handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • HRIS experience preferred; ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus.
  • A willingness to learn and grow within Human Resources.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for the Dousman campus, welcoming visitors, answering and routing calls, assisting with campus navigation, receiving deliveries, and connecting people to the appropriate resources.
  • Maintain personnel files, update employee information in the HR system, prepare documents, process routine employee changes, and ensure accuracy and confidentiality of HR details.
  • Support the recruiting and onboarding process by scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, coordinating background checks and pre-employment requirements, preparing new-hire materials, and supporting onboarding logistics.
  • Maintain training records, assist with training logistics and reminders, organize required documentation, and help HR prepare for licensing, accreditation, regulatory, and other audits.
  • Respond to employee questions, providing answers or connecting them with the appropriate HR team member.
