The position will work in person at our Lonnie Hamilton III building, located at 4045 Bridge View Drive, North Charleston, between the hours of 8:30 and 5 Monday through Friday. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least two year’s or more of Office Experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Able to communicate technical information, both verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

  • An Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the HR team, including opening and closing the HR department, handling queries and questions via phone, walk-in’s, email, and general correspondence.
  • Triage and transfer calls, take thorough messages.
  • Seamlessly work in Microsoft and a variety of County system.
  • Safeguard confidential information.
  • Professionally greet and assist all internal and external customers of the HR department.
  • Review and maintain internal calendars.
  • Maintain the appearance and hygiene standards of the reception area and conference rooms.
  • Act as a bridge between HR and departments, assist with employee onboarding questions, process I-9 and E-Verify forms, within standards.
  • Multi-task, prioritize work and pivot, as necessary.
  • Process mail, scan documents, process unemployment documentation, prepare employee files, subpoenas, and FOIA requests.
  • Create ID Badges, data entry, process and relay information regarding payments and process Visa/master card payments.
  • Alert management of any potential new developments or administrative concerns.
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings.
  • Share your expertise, guidance, collaboration, and flexibility to help each other achieve the team's success.
