About The Position

The HR Administrator provides essential human resources and administrative support to the HR department at the Waxahachie, Texas insulation plant. This role supports employee records management, onboarding, recruiting coordination, payroll administration, employee communications, and engagement activities. The successful candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple tactical HR priorities independently while delivering a positive employee experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Four to five years of relevant administrative experience, ideally in an HR or professional corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated HR administration experience, including employee records management, filing, onboarding, orientation, recruiting, or staffing support.
  • Experience coordinating meetings, interviews, orientations, or other HR activities.
  • Experience drafting professional emails and employee communications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tactical HR tasks and competing priorities with accuracy and sound judgment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and customer-service communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee information with discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential employee records, including new-hire documentation, employment updates, and other HR-related files.
  • Create and maintain physical and digital employee files; ensure required documents are accurately filed and readily accessible.
  • Ensure compliance with document retention and file-management requirements.
  • Process new-hire files, including I-9 documentation, and support timely completion of required employment paperwork.
  • Manage pending hires and support the completion of onboarding tasks in applicable systems.
  • Create and administer employee identification badges.
  • Track and report key HR metrics and administrative data.
  • Draft professional emails, employee communications, schedules, and other HR-related correspondence.
  • Communicate plant staffing needs to recruiters and provide administrative support throughout the recruiting process.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and participate in on-site interviews with recruiters and plant stakeholders.
  • Support pre-hire and onboarding activities, including scheduling and monitoring pre-employment testing, drug screenings, and background screenings.
  • Coordinate new-hire orientation by scheduling with key stakeholders and ensuring orientation materials, bags, folders, and required items are prepared.
  • Communicate orientation details, first-week schedules, and other onboarding information to new hires.
  • Assist with creation of new employee accounts by submitting IT service tickets.
  • Assist employees with direct-deposit entry and access to the UKG mobile application.
  • Support weekly hourly payroll administration through UKG, including daily timecard review and follow-up.
  • Communicate with supervisors regarding attendance, timekeeping, and vacation usage.
  • Assist with benefits education and related processes; respond to employee inquiries regarding medical programs, retirement plans, healthy-living benefits, and other benefit offerings.
  • Coordinate meetings, HR activities, and employee engagement initiatives that promote a culture of appreciation and inclusion.
  • Serve as a point of contact for external partnerships and community organizations, as assigned.
  • Provide administrative support to the Training and Development team.
