About The Position

The Marriott International HQ Fellowship Program offers undergraduate fellowships in a variety of departments at Marriott International’s Headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland. For summer 2027, the HQ Fellowship Program will be from June 7 – August 13, 2027. Fellows will gain hands-on experience, contribute to meaningful business initiatives, expand their professional network, and explore career opportunities within one of the world's leading hospitality companies. Each Fellow will be assigned to a specific business discipline and work directly with Marriott leaders on strategic projects that support organizational priorities. Fellows will be empowered to bring fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and analytical thinking to real business challenges. The hourly pay for this position is $34.00. Requirements

  • Must be available to start on the cohort start date: June 7, 2027
  • Must be available to attend orientation in-person at Marriott’s HQ located in Bethesda, Maryland on June 7-9, 2027.
  • Candidate must be currently enrolled in a graduate-level degree program at the start of the program and returning to their degree program in fall 2027.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to work hybrid out of Marriott International’s HQ in Bethesda, MD.

Responsibilities

  • Work on meaningful, high-priority projects that contribute to Marriott's business objectives.
  • Gain hands-on experience within a specific business discipline.
  • Receive coaching, mentorship, and professional guidance from Marriott leaders.
  • Collaborate and network with a cohort of talented students from universities across the United States.
  • Participate in exclusive hotel tours to learn directly from property leaders and gain exposure to Marriott’s diverse portfolio of brands.
  • Attend Executive Leadership Speaker Series sessions featuring senior Marriott executives who share insights on leadership, strategy, innovation, and career development.
  • Participate in leadership development programming designed to strengthen business acumen, communication, collaboration, and professional effectiveness.
  • Follow all company and safety & security policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
  • Actively listen and respond positively to customer or client questions, concerns, and requests to resolve issues, delight and build trust.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
  • Prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; read and visually verify information in a variety of formats.
  • Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of employees.
