About The Position

Florence House, one of Preble Street’s Housing First programs, provides comprehensive supportive services, shelter, and permanent housing for women 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This direct service position outreaches and engages with clients and tenants, participates in casework service provision, provides program coverage and maintains safety in program spaces, provides crisis intervention and support, and assists clients and tenants in meeting housing goals and maintaining housing stability. The schedule for this position is Sunday- Wednesday, 10:00 pm – 8:00 am.

Requirements

Mental Health Support Specialist (MHSS) certification (can be obtained on the job/after hire)
Strong communication skills
Strong de-escalation skills
Strong crisis intervention skills
Familiarity with community resources
Ability to work with and maintain professional boundaries with diverse populations
Ability to work as part of a team
Work during evening, overnight, and weekend hours
Regular and consistent attendance
