About The Position
OCES is growing and expanding its services to 11 more towns on the South Shore area, including Quincy, Braintree, and Weymouth. OCES is dedicated to supporting older adults and individuals with disabilities by providing essential information and coordinating services to promote healthy, safe living, enabling them to remain active and engaged in their communities. The organization seeks a caring and dedicated Housing Specialist to join the Housing team, working within the community to provide services and support to residents on-site at OCES's South Shore locations.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience in the human services field, preferably with the elder population.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in social work or related field preferred.
- Bilingual a plus.
Responsibilities
- Review the needs of residents to link them with community programs and services.
- Serve as a multi-disciplinary assessment team leader and meet with the team to assure service coordination.
- Facilitate care conferences with residents, family, and other participants.
- Plan and coordinate social, educational, and recreational programs for residents.
- Prepare and distribute a newsletter to keep residents informed of planned activities.
