About The Position

OCES is growing and expanding its services to 11 more towns on the South Shore area, including Quincy, Braintree, and Weymouth. OCES supports older adults and individuals with disabilities by providing vital information and coordination of services. The organization aims to promote healthy, safe living, enabling consumers to stay active and engaged in their lives and communities. They are seeking a dedicated and caring Housing Specialist to work within the community and on-site at their South Shore locations, ensuring services and support to residents.

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience in the human services field, preferably with the elder population.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Adaptability to changing consumer and/or program needs.
  • Bachelor's degree in social work or related field preferred.
  • Bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Review the needs of residents to link them with community programs and services.
  • Serve as a multi-disciplinary assessment team leader and meet with the team to assure service coordination.
  • Facilitate care conferences with residents, family, and other participants.
  • Plan and coordinate social, educational, and recreational programs for residents.
  • Prepare and distribute a newsletter to keep residents informed of planned activities.
