You will provide tailored advice and support to individuals facing housing challenges, ensuring statutory duties are met and vulnerable people receive the help they need. Requirements

Experience of working within a local authority housing options, homelessness team, housing association or homeless voluntary organisation.
A relevant housing qualification or equivalent experience.
Strong understanding of homelessness legislation and safeguarding.
Confident communicating with diverse clients.
Skilled in negotiation and problem-solving.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Ability to manage complex caseloads.

Responsibilities

Deliver professional housing advice.
Assess and manage homelessness applications.
Develop personalised housing plans.
Work closely with applicants, landlords, and partner agencies to negotiate solutions to prevent homelessness.
Safeguard vulnerable clients.
Conduct financial assessments.
Maintain accurate case records.
Participate in a duty rota to provide timely support.
Contribute to service development.
