About The Position

Stef & Philips is seeking a dedicated Housing Officer to join their team in West London. This role is crucial in supporting tenants throughout their tenancy, from initial check-in to move-out. The Housing Officer will also be responsible for overseeing property conditions and addressing maintenance issues. Requirements

  • Knowledge and practice in housing and tenancy management support.
  • Knowledge of the housing benefits system and welfare reform in a supported housing environment.
  • Experience working with vulnerable people with support, care needs, and homelessness.
  • Computer literate.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to prioritize and manage own workload, time, and travel.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Accurate recording skills.

  • Experience in managing maintenance issues and scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Provide basic maintenance services and adjustments when needed.
  • Perform basic cleaning in properties.
  • Conduct regular tenant visits and update company systems (e.g., Salesforce) according to Stef & Philips procedures.
  • Perform scheduled periodic inspection visits.
  • Conduct maintenance visits, reporting issues promptly and recording details of repair work by third-party contractors.
  • Handle complaints and ensure they are addressed appropriately.
  • Conduct Health and Safety inspections.
  • Support departments with check-in and check-out inspections.
  • Report and investigate instances of anti-social behavior, liaising with third-party agents if necessary.
  • Liaise with the Utility department and obtain meter readings.
  • Assess the suitability of service users for properties.
  • Carry out customer satisfaction surveys.
  • Liaise with partners to support tenants throughout their tenancy (e.g., occupational therapists, hospitals, case workers, social workers, local police, neighborhood watch, local authorities).
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Report all incidents or potential hazards.
  • Adhere to Service Level Guidelines when working alone, raising concerns as appropriate.
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of company policies and ensure they are followed.
  • Participate in development reviews.
  • Complete ad hoc tasks as authorized by management.
