About The Position
This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of functions to ensure the safety, security, and well-being of the shelter residents as well as the building.
Requirements
- Ability to deal with people maturely and professionally.
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
- Ability to lift light objects weighing less than 24 pounds.
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- one year experience performing security and/or social service work preferred
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Responsibilities
- Updates residents’ admittance cards and tracking sheets.
- Inputs data as necessary into the computer system.
- Monitors client's day to day activities including scheduling and inventorying passes, taking of prescribed medication, and resident's general whereabouts.
- Maintains shelter logbook through documentation, as directed by the Shelter Director.
- Collects male and female urinalysis.
- Documents urinalysis and Breathalyzers test results.
- Mediates conflicts between residents.
