About The Position

Under the guidance of the Chief Executive Officer, the VF Housing Manager ensures that all properties are rented, in compliance, and properly maintained. With a strong focus on tenant satisfaction and operational excellence, the VF Housing Manager plays a crucial role in coordinating the day-to-day operations of the VF Housing management team and coordinates compliance and training activities with Executive Director of VF Housing Development.

Requirements

• 2-year degree in Business, Bookkeeping, or equivalent education/experience required
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, required
• Ability to work independently on multiple projects
• Have a valid drivers license
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen

Nice To Haves

• 5 years of Low Income Housing Tax Credit Property Management experience strongly preferred
• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, MS Word, MS Excel & property management software strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure Tenant Income Certifications (TICs) are completed in a timely manner for all move ins, move outs, and annual requirements.
• Complete interim work required to prepare for upcoming certifications.
• Collaborate with VF Housing staff on referrals and waiting list/potential tenants. Assist with interviewing and verification of applicants.
• Participate in rental agreement, rules, utilities confirmation, and leases.
• Answer VF Housing phones during office hours – after hours handled by maintenance.
• Provide courteous and helpful assistance to tenants as requested during office hours.
• Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with tenants.
• Complete Reports due to IFA before the deadline.
• Ensure housing units comply with city and state regulations, permits, and licensing requirements.
• Maintain required tenant files.
