About The Position

Paramark Corp is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team in Coon Rapids, MN, as a full-time Housing Manager. This role involves representing the property, building positive relationships with residents and program staff, and serving as the first point of contact for residents. The Housing Manager will enhance their knowledge and skills for working effectively with diverse populations. Daily tasks include working closely with the cooperative's 7-member Board of Directors and several committees, managing contract services, public relations, marketing, and financial performance of the cooperative. The role also includes overseeing the management office, interacting with members, processing invoices and member fees, ordering supplies, answering phones, responding to emails, maintaining various files, coordinating building tours, preparing an annual budget, advising the Board on budget issues, and managing/supervising staff, including a maintenance technician. The Housing Manager will also process maintenance requests and uphold cooperative policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in property management is preferred.
  • Ability to provide customer service in a friendly, courteous, and responsible fashion to a wide variety of residents.
  • Must possess patience, flexibility, active listening skills, assertiveness, and compassion.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities are necessary.
  • Must be self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently or on a team.
  • Strong computer skills and a willingness to learn new software programs are required.
  • Candidates will be required to pass a criminal background check.
  • All employees must pass the company background check for employment.

  • Experience with Yardi software is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Represent your property and build positive relationships with residents and program staff.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for residents, communicating in a friendly, helpful, and engaging manner.
  • Enhance knowledge and skills for working effectively with diverse populations.
  • Work closely with the cooperative's 7-member Board of Directors and several committees.
  • Manage contract services, public relations, marketing, and financial performance of the cooperative.
  • Oversee all aspects of the management office.
  • Interact with members, maintaining open lines of communication.
  • Receive, review, and input invoices for payment.
  • Receive and process monthly member fees.
  • Order supplies, receive deliveries, answer phones, and respond to emails.
  • Maintain files, including member files, emergency contact information, and legal, financial, and contract files.
  • Manage and execute tours of the building during open houses.
  • Coordinate the preparation of an annual budget.
  • Advise the Board on potential improvements and budget issues, including variances.
  • Manage and supervise staff, including one maintenance technician.
  • Process maintenance requests.
  • Uphold and implement the policies and procedures of the Cooperative.
  • Other duties as assigned.
