About The Position

The Housing Coordinator is a key member of the Housing & Residence Life (HRL) operations team, responsible for supporting the strategic administration of housing assignments, occupancy management, billing coordination, and housing systems infrastructure for approximately 1,400 residential students. This role is central to ensuring accurate data management, transparent communication, efficient processes, and high-quality customer service aligned with ERAU’s 3Cs: Customer Service, Connections, and Care. The Housing Coordinator works collaboratively across campus departments including Financial Services, Admissions, IT, Student Affairs, and Residence Life to support operational excellence and a seamless residential student experience.

Requirements

  • Associate degree required, or completion of a relevant 18-month postsecondary program.
  • Demonstrated understanding of housing assignment processes and occupancy management.
  • Strong technical aptitude; experience with housing management systems preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting functions.
  • Strong written communication skills with attention to clarity and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to inclusive, student-centered service delivery aligned with institutional values.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and ensure data integrity in handling sensitive information.
  • 0–1 years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate student housing assignments and occupancy processes
  • Support housing billing coordination and reconciliation in partnership with Financial Services
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of housing data within institutional systems
  • Assist with housing systems administration, updates, and troubleshooting in collaboration with IT
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for housing-related inquiries from students, families, and campus partners
  • Ensure clear, timely, and professional communication regarding housing processes and deadlines
  • Collaborate with Admissions, Student Affairs, and Residence Life to support onboarding and housing transitions
  • Monitor occupancy trends and assist with reporting and operational planning
  • Support process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and student experience
