About The Position

The Houseperson supports guest room attendants by maintaining par quantities of textiles, amenities, and cleaning supplies in designated areas so guests do not need to request items that should be expected. The role also supports hotel cleanliness, linen handling, delivery of guest-requested items, and positive guest relations. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Stock the central storage facility, work centers, and guest room attendants’ carts with appropriate quantities of supplies; conduct inventories as appropriate.
• Collect and inventory dirty linens removed from guest rooms and transport them to the designated area for delivery to the laundry vendor.
• Receive and inventory cleaned linens from the vendor.
• Maintain cleanliness in common and public areas of the hotel.
• Assist with heavy cleaning in guest rooms as needed.
• Deliver special-request items, such as pillows, refrigerators, and roll-away beds, to guest rooms as needed.
• Promote positive guest relations at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
