About The Position

The Houseperson of housekeeping is responsible for handling guest and housekeeping requests and supporting daily housekeeping operations at Embassy Suites at Sunset Walk. Duties include preparing and distributing linen for cottages scheduled to be cleaned, attending to laundry and amenity deliveries, delivering requested items and amenities to guests, and maintaining tidy, sanitary guest amenities. The role also involves responding to radio requests, collecting used linen from completed cottages, keeping the laundry cage organized and clean, removing garbage and boxes, cleaning sofas when requested, and driving within the property.

Requirements

• Must have a driver's license.
• Must have a high school diploma.

• Ability to lift, push, and pull the required load.
• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products.

Responsibilities

• Collect the HUB building access key, radio, and van key from the Housekeeping Office.
• Retrieve departure boards from the Supervisor.
• Prepare linen for cottages scheduled to be cleaned that day, using the Departure List.
• Load departure linen into the van and distribute it around the property.
• Process laundry dropped off by the hotelier by emptying Metro's and placing cleaned linen in its proper location.
• Organize and store amenity orders when deliveries arrive.
• Attend to guest requests by delivering items and amenities.
• Respond to radio requests from Supervisors and Housekeepers.
• Collect linen from the property as cottages are completed and Supervisors radio for collection.
• Place dirty linen in empty Metro's; do not leave linen on HUB floors.
• Remove garbage and boxes from the HUB and empty Grey whales at the end of each workday.
• Keep the laundry cage organized, clean, and in order.
• Clean the sofa when requested by a Supervisor.
• Drive 20 miles inside the property.
