About The Position

The Housekeeping team member cleans casino and common areas, including slot machines and surrounding areas, restrooms, offices, public spaces, restaurants, windows, furniture, and decorative objects. The role includes vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors, handling spills and biohazardous materials according to established guidelines, removing trash, replenishing restroom supplies, and cleaning and polishing fixtures and surfaces. The team member must use cleaning solutions and equipment appropriately, follow applicable policies and procedures, maintain confidentiality, and perform other related duties as assigned. Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience is preferred but not required. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

• Ability to operate equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carpet extractors, mops, and brooms.
• Ability to perform duties with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to issues.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean slot machines, areas between machines, ash trays, slot bases, trash cans, restrooms, offices, public areas, windows and ledges, restaurants, lighting, walls, countertops, furniture, and decorative objects in the casino or common areas.
• Vacuum carpets and sweep and mop tile floors; clean spills as they occur.
• Clean up biohazardous materials according to established guidelines.
• Remove trash from containers and place it in dumpsters.
• Use cleaning solutions and equipment properly.
• Replace toilet tissue and refill paper towel dispensers.
• Clean and polish furniture, marble, brass fixtures, brass floor plates, entrance door brass, and kick door brass plates.
• Clean escalators and elevators.
• Know the locations of facilities throughout the casino.
• Straighten chairs as needed.
• Remove glasses, cups, paper, and debris from assigned areas according to procedure.
• Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies and procedures.
• Perform other related and compatible duties as assigned.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in all company matters.
