About The Position

The Housekeeping position involves performing a comprehensive range of cleaning duties within a facility, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, waxing floors, trash removal, and cleaning various surfaces and fixtures such as toilets, mirrors, walls, trash cans, and arena seats. The role requires the control and use of various housekeeping equipment and cleaning solutions. Successful candidates must pass a criminal background check, be at least 18 years old, and possess excellent customer service skills. The job demands significant physical capability, including lifting and pushing up to 50 lbs, stooping, bending, climbing stairs, working at heights, and standing for extended periods (up to 10 hours). The work environment may expose the employee to adverse conditions like fumes, dust, noise, and wet floors, and may require working inside or outside the building, as well as nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Must successfully pass a criminal background check
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Excellent customer service skills
• Physical capability to lift, push up to 50 lbs., stoop, bend, climb stairs and work at heights up to 21 stories, operate cleaning equipment as required
• Able to stand for long periods of time, up to 10 hours
• Able to climb stairs
• Able to work nights, weekends and holidays as necessary
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years janitorial/custodial experience required

Responsibilities

• Conducts all cleaning duties including sweeping and vacuuming of carpets, sweeping, mopping and waxing floors, trash pick-up, and removal, cleaning of toilets and urinals, cleaning and shining mirrors, cleaning walls and trash cans, cleaning arena seats, dusting furniture, etc.
• Control of housekeeping equipment including but not limited to brooms, mops, buckets and wringer, toilet brushes, garbage bags, push brooms, cleaning cloths, gloves, mask and cleaning solutions, etc.
• All other duties as assigned
