About The Position

PENN Entertainment is hiring housekeeping team members to clean casino and common areas and provide exceptional Red Carpet Customer Service to guests. The role involves cleaning gaming equipment, restrooms, offices, public spaces, restaurants, floors, furniture, and other surfaces; handling spills and biohazardous materials; and removing trash. Team members use cleaning chemicals and mechanical equipment and must be able to work in a noisy, smoke-filled environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Perform duties with a sense of urgency.
• Work as a team with other employees.
• Ability to use and control various mechanical equipment.
• Ability to work around dust and in areas containing second-hand smoke.
• Ability to maneuver in small, limited spaces and transport supplies to and from work areas.
• Ability to operate vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carpet extractors, mops, and brooms.
• Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and occasionally handle chemical fumes and airborne particles.
• Ability to walk, stand, and work on hands and knees for long periods.
• Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations, including the ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 pounds, and to reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance while working in varying areas, including confined spaces.
• Must be able to obtain a Maryland Lottery License.
• Must be able to stand and work in a noisy, smoke-filled environment without restrictions for up to eight hours per day.

• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean slot machines, areas between machines, ash trays, slot bases, trash cans, restrooms, offices, public areas, windows, restaurants, countertops, furniture, and decorative objects in casino or common areas.
• Vacuum carpets; sweep and mop tile floors; and clean spills.
• Clean biohazardous materials when they occur.
• Remove trash from containers and place it in dumpsters.
• Use chemicals and equipment properly.
• Provide exceptional Red Carpet Customer Service to all guests.
