About The Position
The Housekeeper/Environmental Services Technician helps provide a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This role supports infection prevention practices through cleaning, sanitation, waste removal, linen distribution, and supply management.
Requirements
- No prior experience required.
- Ability to work around cleaning chemicals, infectious materials, and varying temperatures while wearing required PPE.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Housekeeping, hospitality, or healthcare environmental services experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect patient rooms, surgical areas, offices, restrooms, lobbies, elevators, stairwells, and other facility spaces.
- Maintain floors, surfaces, furniture, fixtures, windows, and equipment according to department standards.
- Collect and dispose of trash, recyclables, medical waste, and soiled linens following safety and infection control guidelines.
- Prepare patient rooms and designated equipment for admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Refill supply dispensers and maintain housekeeping inventories and storage areas.
- Respond to spills and report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
- Operate housekeeping equipment and follow all safety, infection prevention, and PPE requirements.

- Shift differentials offered as a percentage of base rate: 10% for PM shift.
