About The Position

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is seeking a full-time Housekeeping Supervisor to join the team at Courtyard at Kennedy in Titusville, Florida. The supervisor oversees the cleanliness of guest rooms, assigns rooms, and delegates tasks. The role includes coordinating daily housekeeping activities and staffing, training team members, inspecting guest rooms and public outlets, managing supplies and purchase orders, completing daily reports, and ensuring maintenance requests are handled efficiently. The supervisor may also perform cleaning duties on slower days or when staffing is short.

The property is located on the Intracoastal waterway across from Kennedy Space Center's launchpads. It is a resort hotel with a rooftop bar and restaurant, an expansive pool, extended suites, and other amenities. The position offers fast-paced daily work and career growth opportunities, including training, development, cross-training, and possible internal mobility to other locations nationwide.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old to apply.
• Housekeeping experience is required.
• Working knowledge of cleaning utensils, dryers, vacuum cleaners, tools, and fixtures.
• Ability to work quickly under pressure.
• Ability to follow directions and instructions.
• Ability to read English and print and speak simple sentences.
• Ability to perform simple addition and subtraction calculations.

Nice To Haves

• Previous hotel supervisory experience preferred.
• Previous commercial cleaning and/or guest service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities and plan sufficient staffing to clean guest rooms and public areas.
• Train new housekeeping team members.
• Inspect guest rooms and public outlets.
• Prepare weekly inventory, check in supplies, and report discrepancies.
• Create purchase orders as needed.
• Complete the daily housekeeping report.
• Ensure maintenance requests relating to guest rooms and department equipment are handled efficiently.
• Perform cleaning duties on slower days or when staff shortages occur.
• Assign rooms and delegate tasks.
• Oversee the total cleanliness of all rooms.
