About The Position

The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the housekeeping department at the Kansas City Residence Inn by Marriott at the Legends. The role ensures that guest rooms and public areas are clean, safe, and meet brand and company standards. The supervisor leads by example, coaches team members, and helps create an exceptional guest experience.

The position supervises a housekeeping team of approximately 1–10 employees and supports scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management while fostering a positive team culture. The listed pay is $19.00–$20.00 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

• Ability to clean guest rooms according to brand standards and productivity expectations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull throughout an entire shift.

Nice To Haves

• Six months to one year of housekeeping or hotel supervisory experience preferred.
• Previous hotel housekeeping experience strongly preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the daily activities of the housekeeping team.
• Train team members on company standards, brand requirements, safety procedures, and best practices.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met.
• Assign daily work schedules and room assignments, and distribute keys.
• Address guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related concerns promptly and professionally.
• Assist with interviewing, onboarding, and training new housekeeping associates.
• Monitor inventory of linens, guest room supplies, and cleaning products.
• Report maintenance issues and ensure repairs are properly documented.
• Follow up on vacant, occupied, and inspected rooms to ensure readiness.
• Maintain and manage lost and found items according to company procedures.
• Step in to clean guest rooms and assist the team as needed.
• Promote a safe, positive, and productive work environment.
• Support scheduling, coaching, and performance management for the housekeeping team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
