About The Position

Boscov’s is seeking a Housekeeping/Custodial Supervisor to lead and supervise a team of housekeepers. This role is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the building, including restrooms, selling floor, office spaces, and other common areas. The supervisor will also coach, motivate, and develop the housekeeping team to increase productivity and efficiency, while clearly communicating store and Company objectives.

Requirements

3-4 years of housekeeping or janitorial experience.
1-2 years as lead, supervisor or manager preferred.
Resourceful self-starter, works well independently as well as part of a team.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team of housekeepers.
Ensure the cleanliness of the building, including restrooms, selling floor, office spaces, and other common areas.
Dust the selling floor (both high and low).
Maintain carpets and tile floors utilizing commercial grade equipment.
Sweep, collect trash and recycle material.
Pick up trash from registers & offices.
Dust mop and wet mop floors and vacuum rugs.
Wipe down cafeteria tables, empty trash cans, and dry/wet mop floors.
Clean and sanitize, restock restroom supplies, and empty trash cans in restrooms.
Ensure that all procedures, policies, exposure standards, safety and shortage awareness are thoroughly understood and practiced.
Lead housekeeping staff to provide an exceptional customer experience.
Coach, motivate, and develop housekeeping team to increase productivity and efficiency.
Clearly communicate store and Company objectives so both management and staff are well informed.
Monitor and address performance issues on a timely basis.
