About The Position

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising Housekeeping staff to ensure housekeeping quality standards are met and goals for the housekeeping department are achieved. You will build and supervise teams effectively, train and coach housekeeping staff in specific cleaning and housekeeping job tasks and in completion of daily schedules. You will also conduct new team member training, regularly tour assigned areas of the property to ensure housekeeping standards are met and check productivity in completion of assignments. Additionally, you will coordinate cleaning and maintenance schedules according to guest needs, working with front desk and maintenance personnel.

Requirements

  • One to two years increasingly responsible housekeeping experience in hotel environment required.
  • Requires ability to lead others in the department by mentoring and providing training that results in staff that meets/exceeds guest expectations and provides a high level of guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to monitor labor as required by anticipating business activity while ensuring that positions are staffed when and as needed and labor cost objectives are met.
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift/move/pull moderate amounts of weight.
  • Ability to serve needs of guests through verbal face-to-face interactions.
  • Ability to work on AM, PM, weekend and holiday shifts as required by operational needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory experience desired.
  • Experience within a Hotel/Resort environment.
