About The Position

The Housekeeping Supervisor will work closely with Housekeeping Internal Guests to ensure that the entire department is organized and running efficiently by engaging in administrative duties such as; writing room supplies requests and furniture replacements, recording inspection results, aiding in budget control, posting room occupancy records, and delegating assignments to Housepersons and Room Attendants. They will assist the Director of Housekeeping and Housekeeping Manager with overseeing housekeeping operations, monitoring housekeeping standards, and delivering an excellent Guest experience.

Requirements

  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
  • Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations for Hazcom training and blood borne pathogens
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, employment, and Health Department regulations
  • Ability to communicate using a telephone, radio, or similar device
  • Ability to use office equipment (i.e., computer, laptop, iPad etc.)
  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with management, staff, and co-workers
  • Ability to understand commands, questions, and instructions from supervisors and co-workers
  • Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions
  • Work varied shifts including AM, PM, weekends and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual preferred
  • Continuing education in Hospitality Management preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Organize personnel into housekeeping crews capable of cleaning all guest rooms and other appropriate spaces
  • Execute on inspection program to ensure the maintenance of guest room areas, room cleanliness, sanitation, and standards
  • Keep inventory of closets and storage cages to ensure no shortages or waste exist
  • Respond to guest comments, requests, and complaints
  • Perform daily key and radio inventories
  • Monitor daily productivity of staff and follow-up when standards are not met
  • Work closely with Engineering to ensure all maintenance concerns are handled appropriately
  • Work closely with the Front Desk to ensure guests receive clean rooms in a timely manner
  • Prepare and inspect VIP rooms to ensure standards are maintained
  • Prepare morning/evening work assignments for direct reports
  • Prepare nightly Turndown assignments as needed
  • Maintains records including repairs needed, lost and found items and quality of work completed by Internal Guests
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
