About The Position

Chautauqua Nursing and Rehab is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily housekeeping operations and help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff. The role involves hands-on supervision of housekeeping employees, coordination with other departments, planning services, and maintaining compliance with resident rights, safety standards, infection control practices, and facility policies. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with a rate of $19.00 to $21.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience working in a housekeeping or laundry position.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to supervise, train, and motivate team members.
• Knowledge of housekeeping operations, safety practices, and infection control procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and resident-centered environment.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree in Environmental Services.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a service industry.

Responsibilities

• Supervise housekeeping staff and assist with daily cleaning and maintenance of resident rooms, common areas, and facility grounds.
• Coordinate housekeeping services with other departments to support efficient operations and resident satisfaction.
• Develop daily, short-range, and long-range plans for housekeeping services and department operations.
• Schedule staff, assign duties, evaluate performance, and assist with employee training and orientation.
• Ensure resident rooms are safe, comfortable, and attractive, and safeguard personal belongings.
• Manage department inventory and order supplies and equipment as needed.
• Maintain compliance with resident rights, safety standards, infection control practices, and facility policies.
• Identify and address operational concerns, equipment issues, and safety hazards.
• Participate as an active member of the interdisciplinary team and perform additional duties as assigned.
