About The Position

Supervise team members to ensure a high standard of cleanliness is being provided to all guest rooms during each shift. This role involves developing and supervising the scheduling of housekeeping team members, issuing work assignments, and overseeing the completion of daily tasks. The supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safe handling of cleaning products, coaching and counseling team members, and collecting keys at the end of the shift. Additionally, the role requires continuous monitoring of linen and supply rooms, maid carts, and all equipment used by guest room attendants, housepersons, and shampoo persons, ensuring proper usage. Maintaining linen consumption, housekeeping supplies, care of furniture, and the appearance of the building and fixtures are key duties. The supervisor must also report suspicious activities that may jeopardize the security of the hotel to management or the security department immediately. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to understand and follow the Trailblazer Guide, housekeeping manual and emergency/evacuation procedures
  • Good organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English and Spanish
  • Ability to operate office and housekeeping equipment
  • Perform under pressure in an interruptive environment
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Above average speech – both speaking and reading/writing English.
  • Need excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Occasional reaching overhead, crouching, kneeling, crawling, climbing and balancing
  • Seldom requires sitting, pushing/pulling over 100 lbs., lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs.
