About The Position

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges. The incumbent performs a variety of supervisory/management tasks involved in supervising work efforts of personnel assigned to a shop or work unit. The incumbent shall supervise and direct personnel engaged in facilities maintenance, repair, inspection, engineering support, scheduling, project execution, facility and space management, and related mission-support activities. The Section Supervisor II will lead a diverse workforce, including locksmiths, Electricians, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) technicians, General Maintenance personnel, field engineers, schedulers, and project leads. Main duties encompass direct oversight of personnel; performance evaluations; professional development, mentoring, and career-progression support; management of job priorities; assignment of workload; employee scheduling; timekeeping and accountability for time worked; and assuring the timely, safe, and effective execution of preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, repair, minor construction, and facility improvement activities. The incumbent will coordinate maintenance operations, facility-support plans, and projects to support mission requirements; maintain facility readiness; manage facility and space utilization requirements; and ensure customer satisfaction while operating within established fiscal resources. The incumbent will support budget planning and execution, monitor resource requirements and expenditures, and conduct cost-benefit analysis to support maintenance, facility, project, and resource-management decisions. The incumbent will ensure compliance with applicable safety and occupational health requirements, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, preventive maintenance planning, routine facility safety inspections, safety audits, scheduled safety meetings, and readiness efforts. The incumbent will lead continuous improvement of the safety culture and maintenance processes, optimize workforce utilization, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The candidate must demonstrate effective leadership, sound judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to coordinate a diverse team in a fast-paced work environment. An in-depth understanding of facilities maintenance operations, work scheduling, project tracking, reporting, troubleshooting, problem resolution, contract administration, and resource management is required. The incumbent will support full-lifecycle contract management, including serving as a contractual point of contact when assigned; developing and reviewing Statements of Work (SOWs); reviewing technical proposals; coordinating contractor performance; and supporting contract-related planning, execution, and reporting. The incumbent will coordinate with internal organizations, customers, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate mission requirements, resolve issues, and maintain effective working relationships. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Teams, is required. The candidate will facilitate in-person and online meetings; prepare and review maintenance, project, contract, budget, resource, and facility reports; develop and deliver briefings for leadership; and prioritize work to meet section mission-support objectives. The incumbent will assist in strategic planning and long-range maintenance, facility, workforce, and resource planning efforts. The candidate must obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance within 180 days and be available to work overtime, weekends, varying shifts, and field assignments as operational requirements dictate.

Requirements

  • Possess a base of knowledge sufficient to oversee the performance of technically diverse tasks assigned to the Shop.
  • Must have a practical knowledge of company policies, procedures and practices sufficient to perform as an effective supervisor
  • Must possess a valid, state issued driver’s license
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Teams, is required.
  • Must obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance within 180 days
  • Available to work overtime, weekends, varying shifts, and field assignments as operational requirements dictate.

  • Graduating from a two to four year technical institute or college, or possess equivalent formal technical training or military equivalent and five or more years of experience in a directly related technical working environment, including two or more years as a supervisor.

Responsibilities
