About The Position

The Housekeeping Manager oversees the daily operations of the housekeeping department and leads housekeeping staff in maintaining a clean, pristine, and welcoming environment. The role supports exceptional guest experiences by coordinating room-cleaning priorities and special requests, inspecting guest rooms and public areas, communicating department statuses, following up on guest concerns, and developing team members. The position is with Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach Resort, a beachfront resort in Kauai, Hawaii.

Requirements

Two years of prior housekeeping experience.
Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other team members.
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Knowledge of scheduling and productivity.
High school-level math skills required.

Nice To Haves

Ability to communicate in Spanish is helpful.

Responsibilities

Communicate with housekeeping staff about rooms to be cleaned and special requests.
Inspect guest rooms and public areas.
Communicate statuses with appropriate departments.
Follow up on guest complaints and requests.
Assist with training, coaching, and development of team members.
Oversee daily housekeeping department operations and lead housekeeping staff in maintaining cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
