Fairfield Inn Housekeeping Manager
About The Position
Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Housekeeping Manager for its Fairfield Inn property. The role supports the company’s service culture and is responsible for overseeing housekeeping operations, ensuring room and public-area cleanliness, and helping deliver a positive experience for guests and team members. The manager schedules assignments, inspects rooms and public areas, monitors room status, addresses maintenance needs, and leads direct reports. The position may also involve performing housekeeping duties as needed and other tasks assigned to meet business objectives.
Requirements
- At least a high school education.
- At least three years in a housekeeping management position.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to exceed the expectations of guests and team members.
- Excellent time management skills.
Nice To Haves
- Post-high-school education is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Schedule room and cleaning assignments to ensure proper coverage.
- Inspect assigned suites and public areas to ensure furnishings, equipment, linens, and other items are clean and in good repair.
- Perform necessary housekeeping duties, including making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning.
- Verify and update the status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift.
- Randomly select assigned rooms to check cleanliness and counsel Housekeepers about discrepancies.
- Notify the General Manager and/or Chief Engineer when maintenance repairs are necessary.
- Hire, coach, and discipline direct reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet business objectives.
