The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for scheduling, evaluating, and directing all housekeeping associates, including room attendants, houseaides, floor supervisors, and laundry associates. This role involves coaching and counseling associates, providing disciplinary action when necessary, and coordinating daily activities to ensure sufficient staffing for cleaning guest rooms and public areas. The manager will review the Manager on Duty log, follow up on issues, and efficiently inspect guest rooms and public areas daily to ensure the quality assurance program is being followed. Additionally, the role requires ensuring sufficient inventory of supplies and cleaning materials, supervising the daily operation of housekeeping and in-house laundry, and being responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training new housekeeping team members.
