About The Position

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the housekeeping department to ensure high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This includes managing staff, maintaining inventory, ensuring safety procedures are followed, and collaborating with other departments.

Requirements

Must be hands-on at least 70% of the work time.
Required to work weekends, nights, and holidays as necessary.
Must be flexible with the work schedule based on the demands of the business levels.
Stand, walk, and work for extended hours.
Lift, carry, and push up to 50 pounds.
Push cart weighing up to 250 pounds.

Responsibilities

Recruit and hire personnel, prepare weekly schedules, and manage bi-weekly payroll.
Monitor staff performance, provide counseling, and conduct ongoing training.
Conduct monthly departmental staff meetings and daily pre-shift meetings.
Ensure staff follow cleaning techniques, chemical use, and guest room setup standards.
Establish and maintain a deep cleaning program for guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
Inspect public areas, grounds, storage rooms, kitchen, and employee work areas daily.
Oversee laundry operations to meet productivity standards and ensure safety.
Ensure staff adhere to uniform standards and interact professionally with guests.
Optimize the daily flow of the housekeeping department for room turnover and guest service.
Maintain inventory levels for tools, supplies, linen, chemicals, and guest room amenities.
Ensure staff adhere to all safety and security procedures.
Collaborate with the maintenance department to ensure hotel assets are functioning properly.
Maintain a professional and positive leadership role, focusing on the overall hotel operation and guest experience.
Perform any other assignments requested by the Hotel Manager or GM.
