About The Position

This position is part of the Regional Training Institute at Fort Carson Army Base and is responsible for cleaning several facilities. The employee performs custodial duties, oversees the work tasks of Hotel Housekeepers, and completes other duties to help maintain facilities in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner. Regular hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; work outside normal business hours may be required during peak periods. Applicants must be residents of Colorado when submitting their application.

Requirements

One year of relevant professional custodial experience.
Must be a Colorado resident at the time of application.

Responsibilities

Clean and disinfect lavatories, sinks, and drinking fountains.
Sweep and mop floors; vacuum and spot-clean carpets.
Collect and remove trash.
Spot-clean walls and other surfaces.
Clean windows, ledges, and blinds.
Reorder and replace cleaning supplies.
Replenish and restock paper products, soap, and other supplies as needed.
Maintain the cleanliness of entrance, exit, and common areas.
Assist during snow or weather emergencies by ensuring floors are dry and securing mat placement.
Store supplies and materials in a safe and orderly manner.
Report maintenance issues, equipment needing repair, and building or facility damage.
Oversee the work tasks of Hotel Housekeepers.
Perform other related duties as required.
