About The Position

This role is responsible for performing various tasks related to the cleaning and maintenance of hotel laundry. The position requires adherence to departmental standards, safety, and sanitation policies, while also offering excellent guest service and assisting other departments as needed. The role involves working in a dynamic environment with heavy machinery and requires a high degree of responsibility and teamwork.

Requirements

Ability to lift 25 pounds unassisted, push carts, reach, stand for long periods, and operate heavy machinery.
Ability to work in laundry room environment with running machinery, detergents, noisy equipment, close proximity of others safely.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
Highly responsible & reliable.
Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Performs sorting, treating, washing, drying, folding, and pressing of hotel laundry.
Consistently offers professional, friendly, and engaging service.
Ensures housekeeping laundry departmental standards are followed.
Reports necessary maintenance items.
Follows departmental policies and procedures.
Follows all safety and sanitation policies.
Assists other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests.
Performs additional duties as needed.
