About The Position

The Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor leads the housekeeping and laundry teams and oversees environmental services to maintain a safe, sanitary environment. The role includes staff management and development, operational oversight, regulatory compliance, and participation in quality improvement efforts. The position supports Journey’s mission to achieve exceptional quality outcomes through a dedicated Care Team.

Requirements

Associate degree or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
At least three years of supervisory experience, preferably in environmental services at a skilled nursing facility.
Proficiency in mathematical skills, including performing basic arithmetic and computing rates, ratios, and percentages.
Familiarity with infection control techniques.
Knowledge of regulatory agencies, policies, codes, standards, and regulations relevant to environmental services.

Responsibilities

Hire, train, evaluate, and manage housekeeping and laundry staff.
Ensure staff adhere to performance standards and provide guidance to maximize their effectiveness.
Develop cleaning systems and conduct regular inspections to maintain a safe, sanitary environment.
Manage supply procurement, equipment maintenance, and departmental budgeting.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health regulations.
Participate in quality improvement programs and facility committees to enhance environmental services.
