About The Position

The Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor leads the housekeeping and laundry teams and oversees environmental services operations. The role is responsible for developing cleaning systems, maintaining a safe and sanitary environment, managing supplies and equipment, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The supervisor also participates in quality improvement programs and facility committees. Requirements

• Associate degree or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
• At least three years of supervisory experience, preferably in environmental services within a skilled nursing facility.
• Proficient in mathematical skills, including performing calculations with all units of measure and computing rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Familiarity with infection control techniques.
• Knowledge of regulatory agencies, policies, codes, standards, and regulations relevant to environmental services.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, evaluate, and manage housekeeping and laundry staff.
• Ensure staff adhere to performance standards and provide guidance to maximize their effectiveness.
• Develop cleaning systems and conduct regular inspections to maintain a safe, sanitary environment.
• Manage supply procurement, equipment maintenance, and departmental budgeting.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health regulations.
• Participate in quality improvement programs and facility committees to enhance environmental services.
