About The Position

The Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor leads housekeeping and laundry operations to maintain a safe, sanitary environment and support quality outcomes for residents. The role oversees staff, cleaning systems, inspections, supplies, equipment, budgets, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement activities.

Requirements

• Associate degree or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
• At least three years of supervisory experience, preferably in environmental services at a skilled nursing facility.
• Proficiency in mathematical skills, including performing calculations across units of measure and computing rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Familiarity with infection control techniques.
• Knowledge of regulatory agencies, policies, codes, standards, and regulations relevant to environmental services.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, evaluate, and manage housekeeping and laundry staff.
• Ensure staff adhere to performance standards and provide guidance to maximize their effectiveness.
• Develop cleaning systems and conduct regular inspections to maintain a safe, sanitary environment.
• Manage supply procurement, equipment maintenance, and departmental budgeting.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health regulations.
• Participate in quality improvement programs and facility committees to enhance environmental services.
