About The Position

This position will be responsible for inspecting the work of housekeepers prior to guest check-ins, conducting inventories, and assisting the housekeeping department with any additional projects for the betterment of the property. The role requires the individual to be an ambassador of their resources and committed to the cleanliness of the property, ensuring all details of guest rooms meet 4 Diamond standards. The inspector must be able to work in a high-pace environment without compromising attention to detail, effectively coordinate daily housekeeping responsibilities, and communicate training needs to housekeepers to improve quality. Interaction with all resort staff is necessary to maintain communication between departments. The role also involves maintaining grooming and uniform standards, walking/standing for extended periods, and demonstrating a desire for continuous improvement of the department and resort. Punctuality, excellent attendance, and impeccable guest service are essential, including assisting guests with challenges to create positive experiences. The inspector must be knowledgeable of in-house events and resort activities to inform the housekeeping department, act as a leader and role model, report safety hazards and suspicious activity, and adhere to all safety procedures and emergency protocols. Attendance policies must be followed, and all required meetings must be attended.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of prior housekeeping experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge in property management system SMS is desirable.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred.
  • Ability to work well with a team as well as work individually without constant supervision.
  • Ability to multi-task in a very high paced environment.
  • Ability to read, speak, understand, and write clearly to document inspections.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as well as weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional at all times.
  • Ability to work under varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to make quick decisions and possess good judgment.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required.
  • 2 years in the hospitality industry/ housekeeping field preferred.
  • Must be able to bend, squat, climb, lift up to 30 lbs, push and pull.
  • Ability to walk for the duration of one’s work shift, up to 8 hours in a row.
  • Insurable and safe driving record.
  • A Criminal Background Check is required for this position.
  • Non-smoking candidates preferred.
