About The Position

The Marriott Phoenix Chandler Hotel is seeking a detail-oriented, motivated, and service-focused Housekeeping Inspector to support the Housekeeping Manager and Assistant Housekeeping Manager in leading our housekeeping team. This role is essential in ensuring our guest rooms and public spaces consistently meet Marriott brand standards and provide an exceptional experience for every guest. Requirements

  • At least six months of housekeeping inspection in a hotel of similar size and quality.
  • Working knowledge of hotel housekeeping procedures, quality standards, safety practices, and security policies.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify cleanliness and maintenance concerns.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and lead team members.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and courteously with guests and fellow associates.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work a schedule that includes mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb stairs as needed.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to move throughout all areas of the hotel while performing room inspections.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect guest rooms (vacant, occupied, and check-out rooms) to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and adherence to Marriott brand standards.
  • Ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces consistently meet the hotel's quality and cleanliness expectations.
  • Identify and report maintenance concerns promptly to the Engineering team and follow up as needed.
  • Respond to and assist with special guest requests, including extra towels, pillows, blankets, and other amenities.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and support to Room Attendants and House Attendants to promote continuous improvement and maintain high-performance standards.
  • Assist team members by ensuring they have the supplies, equipment, and resources needed to perform their duties efficiently.
  • Partner with the housekeeping leadership team to ensure rooms are guest-ready and operational goals are achieved.
  • Assist with room cleaning and other housekeeping duties when business demands require.
  • Promote a positive, safe, and team-oriented work environment while delivering outstanding guest service.
