About The Position
Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a talented Housekeeping Houseperson for the JW Marriott Reston Station. This luxury hotel features 248 rooms and extensive meeting space, offering a new standard for accommodations in the DMV area. The hotel is conveniently located along the Silver Line Metro, providing excellent access to airports and the capital region. Requirements
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
- Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
- Can communicate well with guests.
- Willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
- Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment.
- Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms over head to perform cleaning tasks, and work in confined spaces.

- Previous Marriott experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Clean and remove spots from corridor walls and doors.
- Polish and clean mirrors, room numbers on guest room doors, and elevator doors.
- Empty room attendant carts of soiled linen and trash.
- Stock linen closets with amenities and supplies for room attendants; may include taking supplies directly to room attendants.
- Vacuum, sweep, and/or mop hallways, stairwells, vending areas, and foyers.
- Flip mattresses and move furniture as assigned by supervisor.
- Sign for room keys, retrieve, push to assigned rooms and restock heavy cart.
- Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
- Represent JW Marriott’s brand identity, values and pillars.
