About The Position

The Housekeeping Associate provides excellent housekeeping service to residents and maintains the community in an orderly and sanitary condition. The role performs general cleaning and floor-care duties throughout resident and community spaces, uses approved cleaning products and equipment, and follows infection-control and safety procedures. The employee reports hazardous conditions, defective equipment, and accidents or incidents to a supervisor immediately. The work takes place in a well-lighted, ventilated area with its own temperature control, with occasional minimal exposure to outdoor elements. The employee may encounter emotionally upset residents or family members and may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, infectious waste, and disease-causing conditions. The position may require work beyond normal hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Requirements

Ability to interact with residents and provide excellent customer service.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and push or pull 50 lbs.
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including standing, walking, handling objects and tools, talking and hearing, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and occasionally climbing, balancing, tasting, or smelling.
Willingness to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary.

Responsibilities

Perform general cleaning duties, including dusting, scrubbing, wiping, mopping, and vacuuming.
Clean resident rooms, dining areas, kitchens, living rooms, hallways, stairwells, elevators, bathrooms, recreation areas, nursing stations, medication rooms, utility rooms, break rooms, offices, and other assigned areas.
Perform carpet care and resilient floor cleaning according to procedure and assignment.
Mix, label, monitor, and properly use approved cleaning products.
Conduct specialized cleanup according to procedure, using appropriate equipment for blood spills and hazardous materials.
Follow infection-control procedures, including hand washing, proper trash and waste storage and disposal, and wearing protective clothing and equipment when handling waste and cleaning agents.
Follow safety procedures and protocols set by EverTrue policy, federal and state regulations, and standard housekeeping practice.
Immediately report hazardous conditions, defective equipment, and accidents or incidents to the supervisor.
