About The Position
The Housekeeping Aide provides cleaning services to provide a safe, sanitary, comfortable and homelike environment for residents, staff and the public. Housekeeping services are in accord with facility policies and procedures, and consistent with state and federal laws and regulations to maintain an environment that enhances the quality of life for residents.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Prior experience in a custodian, janitor, or similar role.
- Minimum of one year’s experience performing above listed duties.
- Must be able to perform duties with a minimum of supervision.
- This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing and pulling throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Clean (dust, dry/wet mop, sanitize, scrub) assigned rooms, bathrooms and common areas daily according to facility procedures
- Clean walls, ceilings, windows, mirrors, and wax floors according to department procedures and cleaning schedules
- Dispose of trash and waste
- Monitor workplace for safety and fire hazards and corrects or reports potential problems
- Communicate with supervisor throughout shift and as needed
