About The Position

Fairview is looking for a Housekeeping Aide for St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood, MN! This is a part time position that offers 32 hours per a 2-week pay period. This position is not benefit eligible. Provide patients, visitors, and staff a clean and safe environment.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
Ability to lift and moderate to heavy loads.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Basic knowledge of safety and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.
Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements.
Cleans all occupied rooms daily to provide a clean, sanitary environment to the patient s.
Prepares discharge units and/or surgical procedure and completes end of day cleaning in surgical procedures rooms to provide a clean sanitary environment to the patients.
Maintains and clean and attractive areas including maintaining of hard surface and carpeted flooring, cleans offices and public areas, collects, and disposes of refuse.
Cleans up after emergency spills and breakage s to prevent exposure to substances that could be safety hazards.
Maintains and performs special work assignments and reports to supervisor upon completion to comply with quality and frequency standards in department policy and procedure manual.
Understands the security requirements of medications and IV solutions.
Restocks paper supplies upon daily cleaning of area to ensure they are adequately filled and maintains linen distribution system to provide user areas with adequate amounts of linen to give patient care.
Mixes, uses supplies and maintains equipment to aid in cost containment and safety
