About The Position

White Oak at North Grove is seeking a full-time housekeeping aide for their 132-bed facility in Spartanburg, SC. The role involves implementing facility housekeeping procedures efficiently and safely to meet resident needs in compliance with regulations. The position requires the ability to follow instructions, maintain good personal hygiene, and cooperate with colleagues. The aide will be responsible for cleaning assigned areas, furnishings, and fixtures according to established procedures, including floors, bathrooms, walls, windows, and ceilings. They will also manage waste disposal, report equipment issues, and maintain cleaning equipment. Special demands include performing routine tasks, respecting residents, and maintaining a quiet environment. Adherence to HIPAA minimum necessary guidelines is also required.

Responsibilities

Follows cleaning schedule (i.e., daily, weekly, monthly) as outlines.
Cleans assigned areas, furnishings, fixtures according to established housekeeping procedures.
Clean floors, dry mops, wet mops, sweeps.
Disinfects where and when necessary.
Performs emergency housekeeping where accidents occur.
Cleans moveable and stationary furnishings and fixtures; dust, spot cleans and washes, disinfects when necessary, polishes when required.
Cleans ledges, shelves, vents.
Empties and cleans ashtrays.
Empties, cleans, and relines wastebaskets, straightens or rearranges furniture as directed.
Inspects furnishings for wear and defects and reports to supervisor.
Vacuums carpets and sweeps throughout building daily.
Cleans bathrooms (i.e., resident and public).
Cleans and disinfects all fixtures, floors and walls as directed.
Washes mirrors, soap and paper towel dispensers.
Replenishes bathroom supplies.
Clean walls, window, doors and ceilings.
Spot cleans between washings.
Walls, ceilings and ceiling fixtures are cleaned as scheduled.
Performs terminal cleaning duties according to established procedures in resident rooms when resident has been discharged or transferred and prepares room for new occupant.
Removes waste and dispose of waste and trash.
Reports observations concerning structural and equipment wear, defects and malfunctioning to supervisor.
Reports supply and equipment needs to Supervisor for replenishing.
Maintains equipment used in performing duties.
