This role is responsible for maintaining positive guest relations, resolving guest complaints, and ensuring guest satisfaction. The Housekeeping Aid will maintain knowledge of hotel features, services, and promotions, as well as the proper use of equipment and chemicals. Daily tasks include reporting, stocking, and cleaning various areas of the hotel, including hallways, elevators, pool areas, and ice/soda machines. The position also involves cleaning rugs, carpets, and furniture, washing walls, moving furniture, and turning mattresses. Additionally, the Housekeeping Aid will manage dirty linen and trash, deliver guest requests, and handle lost and found items. This role requires assisting co-workers and guests, responding to guest inquiries about local attractions, and assisting in emergency situations.
