About The Position

The Housekeeper establishes standards of cleanliness and presentation for Enriched Senior Living resident rooms and common areas. The role includes scheduled and as-needed cleaning and routine daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual tasks to keep resident spaces clean, clutter-free, and odor-free. The Housekeeper also maintains offices, public areas, restrooms, utility and storage spaces, and laundry rooms; handles cleaning chemicals safely; and performs minor cleaning-related maintenance. The position requires regular, punctual attendance, participation in training and emergency drills, confidentiality, and reporting allegations of abuse or neglect. The employee must be able to lift more than 50 pounds and interact comfortably with residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

Clean resident rooms and common areas according to schedule and as needed.
Change sheets, make beds, vacuum, clean bathrooms, tubs and sinks, dust, empty trash, and clean kitchens.
Dust, vacuum, mop, and straighten common areas, offices, and the beauty shop.
Wash walls, windows, woodwork, door panels, and sills as needed.
Empty trash receptacles and ashtrays and take collected trash to dumpsters.
Keep public restrooms clean and stocked with appropriate supplies.
Handle chemicals according to manufacturer directions and keep them locked away when not in use.
Keep utility, storage, and laundry rooms clean and orderly, and clean lint traps as necessary.
Disinfect and sterilize cleaning equipment and materials.
Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies as assigned.
Perform minor maintenance tasks, including cleaning apartment air-conditioner filters, changing light bulbs, unclogging toilets, and cleaning outside areas such as entrances and patios.
Clean vacant rooms for occupancy and advise management when rooms are ready.
Examine rooms, halls, and lobbies for needed repairs or replacement furniture or equipment and make recommendations to management.
Maintain regular, punctual attendance and attend scheduled in-services.
Know the community's fire evacuation and disaster policies and participate in assigned drills.
Follow compliance and ethics policies, complete mandatory compliance, HIPAA, and regulatory training, and maintain confidentiality.
Report allegations of abuse or neglect in accordance with the law.
Perform other duties as assigned that support Enriched Senior Living and residents' care, comfort, and happiness.
