About The Position

The ELL/ESL Instructor teaches in a regular classroom setting, presenting instruction in the designated subject area. The instructor fosters a positive and desirable classroom atmosphere to support student motivation, maintains classroom discipline to promote learning, and uses available curriculum resources. The role also includes maintaining student personnel folders and recording and forwarding daily attendance to the Student Records area.

The position is at David Carrasco Job Corps in El Paso, Texas. Job Corps is a nationwide residential career training program serving eligible young people ages 16 through 24 by helping them complete high school, prepare for careers, and obtain employment.

Requirements

• Certified to teach in the state of Texas.
• Must pass a drug screen in compliance with the Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
• Employment is contingent on successfully completing a nationwide criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is preferred.
