About The Position

American House is hiring a Housekeeper for its Milford assisted living community. The Housekeeper helps create a clean, safe, and welcoming home for residents by maintaining resident apartments, shared spaces, restrooms, and laundry areas. This is a part-time position requiring work on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Shifts may vary by community and include days, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. The role includes cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining the community, handling waste, and washing and distributing personal laundry and linens. Requirements

Ability to operate housekeeping equipment such as a vacuum, mop, and washer/dryer.

Responsibilities

Vacuum, mop, dust, disinfect, and remove trash from resident apartments.
Make beds and provide linen service.
Clean public spaces and restrooms, keeping supplies adequately stocked throughout the day.
Monitor the building for cleanliness and sanitation needs.
Transport trash and waste to disposal areas.
Wash, dry, fold, and distribute personal laundry and linens.
Change bedding and maintain tidy laundry spaces.
Interact politely with prospective resident tours.
